At Florida State University, I worked with my colleagues and the Winthrop-King Institute to organize a symposium with the writers Gisèle Pineau and Naomi Fontaine. While at Florida State University, Gisèle Pineau led a creative writing workshop that involved graduate and undergraduate students, professors, and community members. We were also able to screen the film adaptation of her short story, Fichues Racines, dir. by Marie-Claude Pernelle (2011).
